OutBenz provides outsourced Employee Benefit and Insurance Solutions for International start-ups and fast growth companies, working in close partnership with Accountants, Lawyers, Payroll Providers and HR Consultants so that, as a team, we provide clients with as near to a “one stop shop” as possible.

Most International start-ups want as little back office infrastructure as possible so they typically won’t have a UK/Europe ‘Comp and Bens’ manager or VP of HR, which is why we provide a total outsource service.

Aligning employee benefits and expectations with business strategy

In order to recruit and retain good quality personnel, a well thought out, well communicated and properly administered benefit programme is essential.

Some years ago, start-up and relatively new companies were able to recruit and employ staff without having to provide too much in the way of structured employee benefits as there was an understanding that the company needs to keep its costs as low as possible in the early days; this was coupled with an expectation of future ‘good rewards’.

Whereas this can still hold true, cuts and reductions in State benefits mean that most employees now expect some employer provided benefits. Furthermore, employers who take too much advantage of this initial honeymoon period can soon find it difficult to retain good quality personnel.

As totally independent Employee Benefit Consultants, part of our role is to assist the employer in not only finding the right balance between benefit costs, staff recruitment and staff retention at the set-up stage (what benefits are similar employers providing?) but also in reviewing and updating this when necessary.
